INFORMATION
If you want to get in shape and work on your endurance, soccer is the sport for you. Played on a large or small rectangular field, the goal of soccer is to work the ball down the field by dribbling, running, and ultimately driving the soccer ball into the opponent`s net.
Game On is pleased to continue offering 7 vs. 7 co-ed recreational & intermediate outdoor soccer leagues in Guelph on Sunday nights, Tuesday nights, Wednesday nights, and Thursday nights. More availability means more options to play! Space is limited.
The 7 vs 7 leagues are available during the spring & summer seasons and each night you play one game, which includes 2 x 25-minute halves. Depending on team counts and field availability, teams may play double-headers certain nights.
Game On also offers a 5 vs. 5 Indoor Soccer league during the fall & winter seasons at the Royal Distributing Athletic Performance Centre. Indoor games will be played on a modified soccer field, smaller in size to regular outdoor 7 vs. 7 fields. The indoor league will consist of one 50 minute game per night and leagues are available in recreational or intermediate levels.
For those looking for a larger playing area, we do offer an 11 vs 11 co-ed recreational outdoor league on Monday nights for the spring & summer seasons.
7 vs. 7: Seven (7) players minimum to a recommended twelve (12) players per team.

SOCCER 7 vs 7 OUTDOOR OFFICIAL RULES
During playoffs, only those players who have played a minimum 3 regular-season games and are playing in a substitute role, or who are registered roster players qualify for playoffs.
FUN FACTOR RATING
Game On’s Fun Factor rating provides teams the opportunity to award opponents for fun, sportsmanlike play, and also allows teams to penalize teams for poor, rough, inconsiderate play. We want to foster a fun and positive environment for all players & teams and use the Fun Factor rating system as a way of making teams and players accountable for their actions on, and off, the field.
Fun Factor Points | Explanation of Points |
+1 | Had an enjoyable time with our opponent. The players were fun to play against, they played hard, but they played fair. We had no issues with their play. |
0 | We felt neutral towards our opponent’s play. They were OK to play against and while there were times of rough play it was still somewhat enjoyable. |
-1 | Our opponent was extremely unsportsmanlike in their behaviour, language, and actions, and were not fun to play against. |
* A team that defaults will automatically receive a rating of 0 unless they have provided advance notice to Game On, or their opponents, so that scheduling changes can be made.
** The opponent of a defaulting team will automatically receive a rating of +1.
Tie breakers will be based first on head-to-head match-ups, then to wins, then to overall goal differential, then to most goals scored, then to least goals scored against, then to Fun Factor points, then to greatest point differential through first half of regular season games, then to greatest point differential against opponents who played all tie-breaking teams, then to best record against opponents who played all tie-breaking teams.
